"Sisters of Souls" is one of a series of four images that I created on the subject "A Celebration of Black Music". I grew up on the Motown Sound, dancing to the music of iconic female singing groups like the Supremes, the Shirelles and Martha & The Vandellas. The glamorous images cultivated by these artists made them fashion and beauty icons for African-American women of the 60s and 70s, as well as music superstars.
