This image was created in honor of the 35th Anniversary of the Spoilers Men’s Golf Club. The Club was founded by a group of African-American men who originally met as student-athletes playing basketball at Boston University in the late 1960s. The friendship and camaraderie of the group extended beyond their college years as they formed families and played basketball in a community league. As the original Spoilers got older, they took up golf and began to expand the circle to other like-minded men. The annual Spoilers Golf Outing in Myrtle Beach, SC attracts men of all ages from across the country, including sons. The 35th Anniversary marks a transition of leadership from the original Spoilers to the next generation.
